ប្រធានាធិបតីអាម៉េរិក លោក ដូណាល់ ត្រាំ បានផ្ញើលិខិតជូនសម្តេចមហាបវរធិបតី ហ៊ុន ម៉ាណែត នាយករដ្ឋមន្ត្រីនៃកម្ពុជា ដើម្បីអញ្ជើញកម្ពុជាចូលរួមជារដ្ឋស្ថាបនិក និងជាភាគីនៃធម្មនុញ្ញរបស់ «ក្រុមប្រឹក្សាសន្តិភាព»។ ក្នុងលិខិតចុះថ្ងៃទី១៦ ខែមករា លោក ត្រាំ បានរៀបរាប់ថា នេះជាគំនិតផ្តួចផ្តើមជាប្រវត្តិសាស្ត្រមួយ ដើម្បីលើកកម្ពស់សន្តិភាពនៅមជ្ឈិមបូព៌ា និងដោះស្រាយជម្លោះសកល។

លោក ត្រាំ បានបញ្ជាក់ថា ក្រុមប្រឹក្សានេះនឹងដំណើរការជាអង្គការអន្តរជាតិថ្មីមួយ ដែលមានទម្រង់ប្រហាក់ប្រហែលនឹងអង្គការសហប្រជាជាតិ ហើយរដ្ឋសមាជិកអាចតែងតាំងតំណាងដោយផ្ទាល់។ លោកក៏បានរំលឹកពីផែនការបញ្ចប់ជម្លោះនៅហ្កាហ្សាតាម «ផែនទីបង្ហាញផ្លូវ ២០ ចំណុច» កាលពីខែកញ្ញា ឆ្នាំ២០២៥ ដែលទទួលបានការគាំទ្រពីមេដឹកនាំពិភពលោក និងក្រុមប្រឹក្សាសន្តិសុខអង្គការសហប្រជាជាតិ។

បណ្តាប្រទេសជាង ៦០ រួមមាន ចិន រុស្ស៊ី បារាំង ឥណ្ឌា និងអាល្លឺម៉ង់ ក៏ត្រូវបានរាយការណ៍ថាទទួលបានការអញ្ជើញនេះដែរ។ យោងតាមធម្មនុញ្ញ លោក ត្រាំ នឹងធ្វើជាប្រធានក្រុមប្រឹក្សា ហើយសមាជិកអចិន្ត្រៃយ៍ត្រូវបង់ប្រាក់វិភាគទាន ១ ពាន់លានដុល្លារ។ លោក ត្រាំ បានបង្ហាញក្តីសង្ឃឹមចំពោះកិច្ចសហប្រតិបត្តិការរយៈពេលវែងជាមួយកម្ពុជា ដើម្បីជំរុញសន្តិភាព និងស្ថិរភាពពិភពលោក។

Donald Trump Invites Cambodia to Join Peace Council

U.S. President Donald Trump has sent a letter to Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet inviting Cambodia to become a founding member of a proposed Peace Council and to join its charter. The letter, dated January 16, describes the initiative as a historic effort to promote peace in the Middle East and resolve global conflicts.

Trump said the council would function as a new international organization, similar to the United Nations, and that member states could appoint their own representatives. He referred to his September 29, 2025 plan to end the Gaza conflict through a 20-point roadmap, which he said was supported by global leaders and later endorsed by the UN Security Council.

More than 60 countries, including China, Russia, France, India, and Germany, reportedly received invitations. Under the proposed charter, Trump would serve as chairman, while permanent members would contribute $1 billion. Trump expressed hope for long-term cooperation with Cambodia to promote global peace and stability.
